South Africa midfielder, Lebohang Maboe, has insisted that he and his team-mates will not sit back and defend when they host Group E leaders, Nigeria in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.
Bafana Bafana go into the game knowing they cannot afford to lose against the Super Eagles, who have collected nine points in their last three matches, since that defeat to South Africa at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo last year.
Maboe, who is likely to start ahead of Thulani Serero in the number 10 role, told KickOff: โItโs obviously going to be a big game, knowing that we need a point, I think, to qualify. Knowing that they are coming here, I donโt think the coach will want us to sit back and defend
โWe are playing at home, so we have to use the home advantage and hopefully win the game.โ
