Senator Mohammed Hassan representing Yobe South Senatorial district has picked the PDP ticket for the Senatorial district in a primary election that was keenly contested in Potiskum.
Hassan polled 323 votes to defeat a former Minister, Alhaji Adamu Waziri who trailed him with three Votes him with three Votes while Haruna Bawa Waziri had two votes.
In a statement made available to DAILY POST by the chairman of the five-man electoral panel, Alhaji Mohammed Shakur Yunusa, said, “Delegates and statutory delegates voted in the primaries that secured victory for the highest scorer, Senator Mohammed Hassan of PDP.
The Yobe South Senatorial District includes Fune, Nangeri, Fika and Potiskum local governments.
The electoral panel chairman commended the delegates, security agencies and party supporters for making the exercise hitch-free while congratulating the winners and losers for demonstrating the spirit of sportsmanship during and after the primaries.
