The Director of Media for the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the outcome of the Osun State governorship election, with the All Progressive Congress, APC, candidate Gboyega Oyetola defeating Adeleke Ademola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to emerge Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s successor.
DAILY POST had reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday declared the candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of the gubernatorial election in Osun State.
The State Returning Officer, Prof. Joseph Adeola Afuwape said Oyetola garnered 255505 votes to defeat his main rival, Senator Ademola Adeleke who polled 255023 votes
Reacting to Oyetola’s victory, Keyamo on his Twitter page described the election as a victory for democracy.
He condemned those faulting the outcome of the poll.
Keyamo wrote: “For those crying foul over the Osun Guber final result, the real injustice was in trying to stop a game of 90 minutes at the 80th minute because a team was leading 1-0.
“The result at full time is what matters. Congrats to all those who worked very hard at this. Victory for democracy.”
