Number One is an afro pop highlife song recorded by Nigerian rapper MI, for his 2010 sophomore album MI2. The song features the self-acclaimed modern highlife king, Flavour N’Abania.
In the “highlife and hip hop combination”, Flavour refers to MI as “African rapper number one” as well as “Microphone Magician”.
This is the song that gave MI the much needed crossover to the south-eastern market and fan base at the earlier part of his career.
