The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai has come under attack from a major supporter of the former governor of Anambra State, and vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Peter Obi.
El-Rufai had in a tweet called Obi a religious bigot for seeking to restrict his movement in Anambra, during a governorship election in the state in 2013.
El-Rufai’s latest attacker is the former governorship candidate of PDP in the 2018 governorship election, Mr Oseloka Obaze.
Obaze, who fired a tweet at El-Rufai, said, “Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s use of fighting words against Peter Obi goes beyond acceptable political rhetorics and is most regrettable.
“No amount of partisan politics or schism can justify or legitimize such hate speech and inciting utterances.”
El-Rufai has been previously attacked over his comment by known PDP stalwarts as Femi Fani-Kayode, Kola Ologbondiyan, among others.
